The skills required for industry 4.0

The future of work will require two types of changes across the workforce: upskilling, in which staff gain new skills to help in their current roles, and reskilling, in which staff need the capabilities to take on different or entirely new roles.

As we are in the middle of the fourth industrial revolution, we are going to see a change in how we work, live and how industries operate. Advancements in technology will change the traditional way of doing things. Industry 4.0 focuses on Smart Manufacturing and Smart Technologies. Machines are going to be able to talk to each other, there is going to be more data created and we are going to have to have more artificial intelligence. This is an exciting time to be living in as more medicines will be discovered, and we will be able to discover those medicine in a quicker, safer and more affordable way. Automation will play a huge part in this shift.
